The Bowing Branch
Every flower has a memory, a story, or is a reminder for me. I am always inspired by the beauty, elegance and tranquillity of flowers, nature and light, and I find watercolour the most tender medium to capture a hint of such beauty. When painting with watercolour, I must surrender and be at the present moment, to let the colours run through water and trust that they will manifest how I feel at that moment.
“The Bowing Branch” depicts my love for light, flowers and the minimalist arrangements of Ikebana, the Japaneses flower arrangements, aiming to bring out the inner qualities of flowers and other live materials and express emotion.

Details
My artworks are signed at the front and are sold unframed. Framing is a personal choice and most people prefer to choose their own frame, based on their interior design. When framing a watercolour painting, please ensure to use a Paspartu (a matboard frame) to prevent the glass and the image from touching, and also to increase the visual appeal of the painting. Using a Paspartu will increase the framing size, though.
