Christmas Carols on Fire
Every flower has a memory, a story, for me. I am always inspired by the beauty, elegance and tranquillity of the nature and light, and I find watercolour the most tender medium to capture a hint of such beauty. When painting with watercolour, I must surrender and be at the present moment, to let the colours run through water and trust that they will manifest how I feel at that moment.
I painted this piece in December 2019. These gorgeous natives had become so scarce due to the bush fires all around us; precious lives were lost, homes and thousands hectares of bush and jungle were burnt to ashes... While this piece is the reminders of Christmas, they are also messengers of the need for change.

Artwork Description
My artworks are signed at the front and are sold unframed. Framing is a personal choice and most people prefer to choose their own frame, based on their interior design. When framing a watercolour painting, please ensure to use a Matboard (a matboard frame) to prevent the glass and the image from touching, and also to increase the visual appeal of the painting. Using a Paspartu will increase the framing size, though.
